Dogs are told to be best friends of human beings. I agree with this but once I had a dog that is more than a best friend for me.I spend my childhood with him. His name was Tosun.
As much as I remembered one of my father's friend gave him to us. When I first saw him, he was in an empty Halley box. He was screaming and crying as loudly as he could. He was only 2 weeks old. Although the man had told my father that the puppy was hungry and had not eat anything that morning, his stomach was very big and quite round. So he deserved his name at that moment with that round pinky stomach.
He was a purebred English settler.There were two gigantic ears at the each side of his head, two beautiful red eyes, a pink nose and a small white point just above his right eye. When he saw me the first thing he did was always a stubid gaze. The second thing that he did was again always same. He ran towards you as fast as he could and bump into you. His favorite toys were my hands. He loved to sweep my hands with his long red tonque. When he was happy it was imposible to stop him; he always jumped around us while his gigantic ears dancing in the air,touched with his large paws to us to force us to play with him.
He was my guard angel when I was seven. He escorted to the scholl and took me back every day. I never walked that long boring road alone. Also he was a very interesting dog. He watched nearly all the football matches that I play, went to swimming with me and the most importantly he was with me in my first fight. ( The boy whom I fought was Sami one of my best friends now ) Tosun bit Sami with his razor sharp teeth two or three times.
We shared 13 beautiful years and something began to change. At first we were not aware that he was too old for a setter but thanks to a veterinerian we learnt it. Every passing day he moved less and less. And one day suddenly I lost my best friend.
Today I'm still thinking about him.And I'm not the only one that misses him. My father still hides it's strap and there is a photo of Tosun in my mothers next to our photos

What Effects us ? (Cause and Effect )
Today nearly all univercity students have at least a bad grade. The most important reason is stres I think.Although everybody think that some stres is needed to be succesfull in life, a long lasting or an exxesive stres can cause a disaste such as suicide.
There are three main factors that cause stres on univercity students. Enviroment is the first one. In Turkey students make random choices about the univercities. Just for their names or location. And no one thinks about the enviromental conditions. For example a student from Adana ,Turkey’s warmest city, wants to go to Atatürk Ünivercity in Erzurum, Turkey’s coldest city. After such an enviromental change the student will have to recognize completely diffrent things apart from what he/ she know before. New traditions, local beheaviors, local accent etc. . . When you count the all things you will notice that this problem is not easy to get over at first. And this may cause a log lasting stress. But thanks togod this is also the easiest factor to get over with because the new students will adopt themselfes into new enviroment, later or sooner. . .
Another factor is family or home sickness. The most of the new students probably have never lived apart from their families before. When they come to univercity most of them suffer from this. Generally by the end of the fşrst month most of the new students are home sick. And families generally think that it will be better not to call their childeren a lot, because they think that if they call them too much it will be more difficult to adopt there. But they don’t know that they are wrong. The new students always needs to be guided and supported a lot. Thanks to our education system there are a lot of holidays to help students about this problem. By the time pases the students can get over this factor too. But keep in mind that this factor may cause bad results in first term exams.
Lastly and most importantly being not ready to be in univercity is the biggest problem. All new students including me were prepared for just OSS and YDS not for the univercity. We don’t know what to do or how to do. The classes are completely different from high-school and the teachers too. And we have no one to tell us to study. So we usually hang around idlely and don’t know that we have to study harder than in high school days. Generally we don’t notice this factor by the end of the first year. And this causes the greatest stres. A wasted year, exam failures, irregular attendance and worstly going to same class next year. Most of us will remember this years as the worst year of our lives. Maybe some of them don’t want to remember… The stres that this factor caused may be so great that can end with a suicide. There are examples of it.

Buid Your Own Aquarium (Proces Analysis Essay )
Aquarium is one of the most relaxative things which you can find in a house. But it may be quite expensive and it’s not easy to build an aquarium. Of course you can buy one but hand-made aquariums are more valuable there is your labour on it.
To build a good aquarium at first you must decide what kind of breed you will feed. Because your aquariums size and shape depends on this factor. And also accesories you’ll use in your aquarium are linked with this factor. Because every fish breed has it’s own necessity. For example Beta fish need a small aquarium and there must not be any oxygen machines in their tanks. And also there must be a lot of weeds in a Beta tank. But just the opposite guppies need more than one oxygen machine even in a 30 liter tank. And in addition to his there musn’t any weed (artificial or natural) because if you place some weed in a guppy tank you’ll see that that they will eat the weeds away..
Secondly we must decide abaout our decorations. What kind of weed, what kind of oxygen machine, what kind of food. . . This stage is very important for our fish’s health. For example a Beta likes and need rocky bottoms and will be happy and away from stres in such an aquarium. While guppies like sandy botttoms. A guppy which lives in a aquarium that has sandy bottomlives longer and looks more attractive than a guppy which lives in an aquarium that has rocky bottom. Weed is another important accesory. For example sword weed is a very good accesory for a healthy leopard sucker and catfish. But it is also a poisonous weedso this weed is very dangerous in weed eaters such as guppies tank.
The next step is building the aquarium we decided about. Firstly go to a glass seller and buy 5 pieces of glass with the correct size for your dream aquarium. And buy two silicoon guns. If you haven’t used a silicoon gun before you can learn it form the seller. It’s very easy to use. After you glued the glasses with your silicoon guns with the each other find a razor blade and smooth the corners. Be carefull about overflowed silicoon bcause plastic is an extreem poison for all kind of fish. Later wash it with waterbut don’t use any soap or another chemical. Wait until it dries and place your accesories. After this prepare the bottom of your aquarium. But do this just in this order to prevent unexpected events. Forexample if you first prepare your aquariums bottom and then add the accoseries , you may see some of your accesories swimming randomly with your fishes. We must preape the bottom at last because we must use sands, rocks or Stones to stack our accesories. Remember the fishes ( fish) very vulnerable. Now fill the aquarium with the water and watch it carefully. Be sure that there is no water leaking from the aquarium and all accesories are just in it’s place. And finally go to a pet shop and buy a fish. If you want to feed more than one fish just buy 2 fish for this time. If fish or the fishes manage to live 5 days in your aquarium it’s safe for more fish. Now go to pet shop again and buy as much as fish you want to feed .

For a Good Vacation
Planing is the most important part of a vacation. If you go somewhere randomly it may be your worst vacation. A city described as a part of the heaven can turn in to the hell with a timing mistake in planning.General mistakes people do most, while planing are about economy, sight-seeing places and timing.
Generally people make their vacation plans for places to sight-see. For example all of us want to see Paris, Londra or Venice. Do you think it is right ? No I don't think so because people don't share the same interests. For example one might want to go to Paris to see Louvre museum because he is interested about history, art , painting , et. . . He will probably be happy after his vacation. But do you think it will be same with an another person who doesn't like visiting museums? No such a person will think that his vacation was waste of time.So we must decide our vacations location according to our own interest. For example the Alps is a good vacation location for an action man or for a sensetion-skeer because of harsh conditions and mountain climbing. And for a man of peace places like Louvre museum in Paris are best places to spend thier vacation. But also there are some other things may effect your decidion while planing such as economy and timing.
By the way timing is another important thing to be thought carefully. Because in some places time of the year and the date changes the whole condition in a town or in a country.For example you want to go to Uzungöl in Trabzon. If you go there in winter there will be nothing but heavy rain and freezeing cold to see. But if you go there in summer, you 'll see a part from the heaven. A smoth lake, a cute village, a wonderfull enviroment and friendly Black-sea region peoplewill be there to visit. Apart from this,there are a lot of carnavals in spesific dates. Rio Samba Carnaval in Brazil, Bull-running Carnival in Spain, pepper carnival in Mexico, those are the activities no one must miss. And remember sometimes it is too dangereous to visit a city in a wrong time. For example don't go to Rome when there was a football match between A.S.Rome and Lazio F.C because there will be a lot of hooligans.
Lastly money is the most important thing to be consıdered while planning. We must consıder all posible options according to our income or the money we have. ıf you go to the funniest carnaval without money, you'll be misirable there. A person who wants to go somewhere for a vacation must consıder all the cost. Acomodation, food, other expenses. . . We must think about all factors. And we most look for if there is a more suitable option.

HURRAH HURRAY PİRACY ( Argumentative Essay 5 pra )
Turkey is the most expensive orginal seller in the world. Today in Turkey an orginal music album is 4 times expensive than it's pirate. And the goverment supports this prices. They say that ''the prices are not enough when you think about advirtisiment of product, the product owner, publisher etc... But those are none of my business. I want the best quality for the lowest price. That's all. . .
An avarage person earns nearly 750- 1500 tl in Turkey. Let’s say 1000 tl. Experts say that we must read two novels in a month. Today a not well-known novel cost nearly 30 tl. So we spent 60 tl for two novels in a month. And a person must watch at least a movie once a week I think. So let’s go to D&R and buy 4 orijinal movies.The lowest price you can find in such a place is nearly 15 tl for a good movie. So you spent another 60 tl. And buy an album of your favorite singer from the same store for 20 tl. And as a teenager you have some interest. One of mine is games. So lastly lets buy a latest version of a game for PS2. Cost at least 60 tl. When you count the things I said, you’ll notice that you already spent 200 tl. And remember it’s %20 of your salary. Now let’s buy the pirate versions of the same products. 5 tl for each pirate novel,1 tl for each pirate movie, 5 tl for the PS2 game, and lastly go to internet cafe and download all the albums your favorite singer published. It takes nearly 2 hours so you pay only 2 tl for 4 or 5 albums.So you spent only 16 tl and you get more.
Nowdays some people who are artists, painters, singers, appear on TV and say that piracy is illegal and it’s a kind of theft. They say that they lost millons of TLs because of pirate product users. And when the high prices are remined them , they always defend themselves by saying advirtisement costs, general product cost, worker’s salary and . . . Moreover nearly all authoritez say that owners are right in this subject. Let’s suppose that they are right and they lost such Money. Then why an earth they use luxury sport cars instead of a Toros station wagon or a Doğan or Şahin. And also we see that they go to Maldivves for holiday, to Paris for shopping and to Alps to ski, a person who lost such greath deal of Money can do such things? Do they think think that they will prevent piracy with doing so ? I don’t think so. If I were a rich man , stil I would not buy the orginal products of such artists. They don’t deserve it.
Recently I heart a news that the goverment was preparing some new laws to prevent piracy. A minister told on TV that pirate product users will be punished as thieves. So funy isn’t it ? Firstly as I know thief is someone who earns Money by illegal ways. Well, nowdays nearly in all songs, singers voice is edited by the latest computer systmes. Moreover in most albums singer’s voice is completely different from it’s orijinal form. So do they have rights to demand Money for a voice that does not belong to them? And secondly a singer who has only one album can buy huge houses, sport cars, jewels, do great investments. . . . Is one album enough for this expenses? If the Money gained is 100 times bigger than the Money spent on producing, yes it is enough ! An income 100 times bigger than it’s prodicing expenses. . . Is it legal? If so , look at the tax rates they pay. Not too different from the one my father who is an ordinary pastry cook , pay. Is it legal ? If goverment wants to catch thives , he must start with the big ones who steal 100 more times bigger than little ones .
Lastly as a part time Worker-university student I earn 400 tl in a month. And I think as a normal teenager I have rights to read novels, watch movies, listen to music and play computer games . If I buy the orginal ones I can’t live. . . Most importantly ıf some fake artists and one or two minister who don’t care about their people, will call me thief because of prite product useage let it be. . . What a pity that I’m not ashamed of myself

Marriage is one of the oldest tradition of humanity. People joined their lives with each other since dark ages under the name of marriage. And nearly in all cultures it is belived to be a holy thing. They belive in proverb ‘’ Love conquers all ! ‘’ and married to whom they love . But life is not a pink dream that that lasts forever as we all know. There are some marriages that end in a divorce trial. And the highest divorce rate is in international marriages. For this I call this kind of marriages ‘’imposible marriages ‘’.
I think culture is the most important thing in our lifes. The way we think, the way we behave and even the way we eat is related to our culture. And all countries have their own culture. For example in Turkey we eat on ground and drink alchol when we are very happy or too sad. But in Germany even in the poorest familie’s house There is a table to eat on it and alchol is a natural part of every meal. There are a lot of differences between each culture apart from those. And they say that two culture can’t live in one house. Think that your wife is German and wants to eat on diner. But you don’t. Now what will you do? Such little differences may cause greater problems when There are too much of them. Now knowing this what will you do? Will you ignore your wife’s culture? No you can’t do such a thing because if you ignore her culture you also ignore her. And it is not a good thing for a marriage. But I know that There are a few happy international marriages. And in most of this marriages one side must made great sacrifices such as ignoring his (her) culture and adapting his wife’s ( husbands) culture. And also they are sor are. I’m 21 years old and I witnessed 6 international marriages although I know a lot of people who married to a person from abroad.

AN UNFORGETABLE FRİEND (Descriptive Essay)

A much as I remembered; one of my fathers friend gave him up to my father. When I first saw him , he was in an empty Halley box, screaming and crying. He was only two weeks old. Although the man had told my father that the pupy was hungry, still his stomach was very big. So he deserved his name in that moment.
Tosun was a pureblood English setter. There were two gigantic ears at each side of his head, two beautiful red eyes and a pink wet nose.He was my guard when I was seven. He escorted me to school, and he took me back everyday. I never walked that long road alone thanks to him. He was an interesting dog. he watched my all football matches, went to swimming with me and most importantly to me he was with me in my first fighth. ( The boy whom I fight with was Sami , 1 of my best friend now and Tosun bit him two or three times :) )
We shared 13 beautiful years. And something began to change. At first we were not awere that he was too old for a setter. But thanks to a vet we learnt. Every passing day he moved less and less. And suddenly one day I lost my best friend.
Today still I'm thinknig about him sometimes. And it's not just me that misses him. My father still hides it strap and there is a photo of tosun in my mothers wallet next to our photos
